Moving ahead to talk through the real bits and bobs!

Oily skin is a common skin concern caused by climate change, genetics, stress, and diet are a few. The veiled reason behind the condition is sebum production which escorts to enlarged and clogged pores. Though naturally churned-out oil by the skin is up to the mark for hydration and its recurrent, meanwhile excessive oil is a trouble call.

If you too are in the same challenge club, we’ve got you covered. Nothing can beat the robust power of skincare as it works like a miracle and helps you in achieving desired skin goals. Scroll down to see the skincare routine which will be your holistic savior:

  • Cleanse away that chappy Oil: It is highly recommended by skin experts to cleanse the face in the morning by considering it as a priority. It should be your first skincare step and it toils to remove open clogged pores and removes impurities. Preferring face wash that contains tea, coffee, citrus extracts, and fruits extracts is a wise choice.

Not just oily skin, but if acne is as well on the villain list, shoot it by including the natural ingredients on your cleaner like- clove, sandalwood, neem, etc.

Your skin is an oil pump and it produces oil at the night as well, it better is to cleanse before dozing off to bed. It will also take away the building blocks of impurities and pollutants that are stacked up all day long.

  • Exfoliate: Exfoliating 2–3 times a week helps in eliminating acne, removes dirt, oil buildups that are prone to whiteheads and blackheads. The best is to go with scrubs that contain menthol and eucalyptus as they induce a cooling sensation and calm your skin. Note to not over-exfoliate as it can be harsh on your skin, just 2–3 times a week would do the job.
  • Toner: After wiping off the oil buildups, and excessive oil, next is to follow up with toner. It is better if you choose a toner that will have- lactic, salicylic, or glycolic acid as an ingredient.

They control oil, tighten the skin pores, and maintain the pH balance of the skin.

  • Moisturize: Moisturizers are as important for our skin as water for our bodies. Covering just oily skin, go for a lightweight, oil-free, and non-greasy moisturizer that easily absorbs in your skin. As usual, there are certain ingredients you should look up to for your skin type, like-

— Various forms of Vitamin A to unclog pores

— Zinc for its cosmetic benefits and treating acne and blemishes, and

— Salicylic acid to prevent acne and discoloration.

Controlling oily skin before it controls you is not a hard nut to crack. You just have to give 30 mins a day. We recommend you prohibit using excessive products and use basic products to get the desired outcome. Above mentioned steps are best suited for every day, although, you can apply a face mask twice a week and face serum or oil (depends).

Hope this helps!
