Signs And Symptoms of Stomach Cancer !

Though cancer is the disease of the 21st century, especially stomach cancer as well as breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the USA.

A study showed unbelievable results – about 24000 cases of stomach cancer are diagnosed each year.

As in every case of cancer, if it’s discovered early enough, the survival rate is 90 percent more than in those people who discover it in phase 3 or later.
Unfortunately, symptoms in this type of cancer occur very rarely. We begin to notice symptoms after the cancer has spread on to other organs except the stomach.

Stomach cancer is also known as gastric cancer and it is a slow growing disease. Scientist don’t know exactly what causes the growth of cancer cells in the stomach, but here are few things that could increase the risk of getting them:
  • Getting infected with a H. pylori bacteria
  • Gastritis
  • Long-lasting anemia
  • Polyps growing in the stomach

Because symptoms of stomach cancer are really hard to detect. You really need to pay much attention and regular visits to your doctor’s office, as well as be careful what you eat and other lifestyle mistakes, such as heavy drinking and insufficient sleep and water intake.

According to a chart made by the ACS – American Cancer Society, the symptoms that could indicate stomach cancer are the following:
  • Heartburn and/or indigestion
  • Loss of appetite
  • Bloated stomach after meals
  • Fatigue
  • Diarrhea
  • Constipation
  • Vomiting and nausea
  • Pain in the abdomen
  • Having a bloody stool
  • Losing weight without changing anything in your diet
  • Discomfort above the navel
  • Anemia
  • Feeling that you’re full even after eating a small meal

See how common these symptoms are? They are usually caused from lots of different things, such as a virus, unhealthy diet, ulcer… However, if they are getting worse or they’ve been present for a while, you should definitely schedule a check up with your doctor and he will give you further instructions.

The statistics show that only 1 in every 5 stomach cancers is revealed on time, based on the population of the territory of the USA.
