3 Ways to get rid of spider veins

Spider veins are a very common affection of modern society and can appear among both men and women. Even if they usually appear on your legs, this is not a rule, as they sometimes can appear on your nose, ankles, tights or stomach.Due to the fact that their appearance is similar to a spider web, the stretched blood vessels that are seen on the skin surface are called spider veins.
Generally, they are caused by a series of factors among which we remind of standing too much, intake of birth control pills, injuries, menopause or pregnancy. A less controllable factor is heredity and ageing.
Fortunately, instead of spending a fortune on expensive treatments, there are other ways to get rid of spider veins: natural remedies. They are cheap and very efficient.

Among one of the most effective remedies is marigold. Yes! That little and tiny flower. It contains high levels of vitamin C and flavonoids, two ingredients that stimulate the collagen production. To be more specific, it will repair the damaged cells. At the same time, it stimulates the blood circulation, reducing the swelling. All you need to do is prepare a tea, by boiling 10 marigold flowers in half a liter of water. Once ready, soak a cotton ball, then apply it on the affected skin and let it sit up to 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water to remove the remedy. For a better effect, follow this remedy several times every week, until the skin is clear.

Essential oils have always been a strong ally against skin affection and they can also help you combat spider veins. You can use spinach oil, jojoba or carrot oil, as they contain many substances that favor the elasticity of your skin. They manage to stimulate the blood flow, reduce the muscular pain and relieve the swelling. Prepare a remedy by mixing 20 tbsp of jojoba oil with 1 tbsp of spinach oil and 1 tbsp of carrot oil. Pour the mixture in a bottle and mix well. Apply the remedy on your skin by using a cotton swab. You should wait for about 40 minutes that the remedy actions deeply before washing your skin with tepid water. If you repeat this procedure twice a day, the spider veins will start to vanish with every month that passes.

You can also get rid of spider veins with a very common ingredient, that mostly you use in your kitchen: parsley. Apart from the good taste that it provides to your dishes, parsley is a rich source of vitamin C, which is good as it stimulates the collagen production, repairing the cells. Parsley is also rich rutin, a substance that has the role of strengthening the capillaries, relieving in this way the spider veins.

The remedy is very easy to prepare and all you need is some parsley leaves that you need to boil in water for 5 minutes. Once the liquid has cooled down you should add 1 drop of marigold oil and 1 drop of rose oil. Conserve the solution in the fridge for half an hour, then apply the remedy on the affected skin on a daily basis. The best way to nourish your skin is to leave the remedy action overnight and wash your skin only in the morning.

Apart from these remedies, there are certain things that you can do and that will fasten the healing:
Avoid salt;
  • Focus your diet on fiber – consume lots of vegetables and fruits;
  • Reduce the alcohol consumption;
  • Wear appropriate shoes so that you ensure a proper blood circulation and allow your muscles to relax;
  • Try not to stand too much time as this puts pressure on your veins and can lead to spider veins.
